Citrix at DTU (remote.dtu.dk)

No matter where you are. No matter which machine you're working from. Remote.dtu.dk allows you to work with access to your usual network drive. You no longer use VPN software to secure the network traffic. You do not have to leave your work PC turned on at DTU. Remote.dtu.dk allows you to use Microsoft Word from the Mac / Linux / iPad / Windows. You can work with documents from your standard department drives.

Connecting to remote.dtu.dk from Windows

  1. Go to https://remote.dtu.dk and login with your DTU credentials.
  2. Click "Detect Receiver"
  3. Agree to the license agreement (tick the box) and click "Download"
  4. Install the "Citrix Receiver" software
  5. Optional: If you login with yout DTU credentials on your computer, you can tick the "Enable single sign-on" box. This will allow you to use the Citrix applications without signing in, as it will re-use the login from your computer.
  6. After installation click "Add account" in the popup-windows and insert: remote.dtu.dk. Tick "Do not show this window automatically at logon" - then click "Add"
  7. In the next popup-windows insert your DTU credentials (XXXXX) like this "XXXXX@win.dtu.dk" and your password
  8. You are now logged into to Citrix/remote.dtu.dk

Click on the plus to the left, to see the full list of applications. Clicking on an application in the list, will pin it to the startup-window. Notice that you can also get access to a full desktop, where all the applications are available too. If you have any mounted network-drives on your Windows computer, these will be available inside Citrix applications/desktop.
