14 Mac Hacks That Will Change The Way You Use Your Computer

Speed up your processes on your Mac. These tips, tricks, and shortcuts will have you going at light speed. You won’t actually need a helmet, but it couldn’t hurt.

1.Use Command + Shift + V to paste text without formatting
2.Hold down a letter and the special character menu will come up.
(Quite a change for us old timers that are used to using the Option key.)
3.Use Command + Control + D to get definitions, Thesaurus and Wikipedia info on a word.
4.Use Command + Delete to delete a file
5.Invert colors by pressing Control + Option + Command + 8
6.Type “purge” into the commend line in Terminal to free up memory
7.Use checkbox in Date & Time in System Preference to show date on menu
8.Use Option + Click on Volume Icon to switch between audio outputs
9.Fine Tune Brightness or Volume by adding shift + option while adjusting
10.When starting Mac, hold down the Mute button to mute startup sound
11.Use Shift + Volume Button to adjust volume without making a sound
12.Use Preview application to sign PDF forms
13.Select Tweet, use secondary (Right) click to Tweet
