DTUInformatics provides facilities for electronic meetings. Enabling people/sites to remotely participate in meetings via video conferencing, with up to 5 remote parties/locations as well as facilities for sharing an electronic white board with remote participants. The system is located in room 322-030 and consists of:
Video Conferencing System
The video conference system is based on a Sony PCSG70S Video Communication system. The system enables users to create high quality video conferencing calls point to or point as well as multipoint calls for up to six sites (contains its own Multipoint Control Unit). Supporting open standards for both video conferencing (H.323 as well as SIP) and data sharing (sending a computer or video presentation along with a video conference session / H.239) it provides connectivity for any client supporting one of these standards (see below for suggested software clients for various PCOS's). Thus it also enables video conference call to/from normal PCwith a web cam and appropriate software client installed.
The system (assuming it is powered up) can be reached from a H.323 client at:
- videoconf1.compute.dtu.dk (or 130.225.68.201)
IT support will of course assist in setting up calls/conferences if needed.

- Windows XP - NetMeeting (enable Netmeeting by: Click "start" --> "RUN" and type "conf" and Netmeeting will install)
