Summary
Updates to: R, maple, firefox, thunderbird, acroread, OpenOffice
Details
- Default R version is now 2.9.2 on hms1-2 & linuxgrid and has more add-on packages installed (see list with library() command). Older version is available with the commands R-2.8.1. SUN servers only has version 2.8.1 installed and will no longer be updated.
- Maple version 13 is available on hms1-2 and linuxgrid. Start with command xmaple13 or via the menu system
- Default firefox has been upgraded to version 3.0.13.
- Firefox 3.5.x is available with command firefox35 or via the menu system
- Acroread upgraded to 8.0.6 due to security fixes.
- Default thunderbird has been upgraded to version 2.0.22 (i.e. from 1.5 to 2.0). Version 1.5 is still available with the thunderbird15 command but is strongly depreciated.
- OpenOffice 3.1.1 is available with the oo command or via the menu system.
