The main difference in setting up meetings in MS Teams depends on the location of a user’s mailbox. All staff at DTU have on-premise mailboxes (instead of an online mailbox in Office365). Only online mailbox users can create meetings within MS Teams application, using the Calendar-feature. On-premise mailbox users can ONLY setup meetings using a plugin in Outlook, and do not have the Calendar-feature available. This requires a simple installation (and Outlook).

Installation of MS teams

1. Close Outlook if it is running.

2. Download installation from our Software fileshare. Either use the network-drive S: or insert this path in explorer or "run" (VPN or cabled network required): \\nas1.compute.dtu.dk\software\Microsoft_Teams.

Alternatively, from the internet (choose Windows 10 64 bit): https://teams.microsoft.com/downloads#allDevicesSection

3. Run the installer

Create a meeting in MS Teams from Outlook

MS Teams installation is required, and will add a new button to the Calendar menu in Outlook: New Teams Meeting

Click it and a pop up a window similar to the normal meeting scheduler in Outlook calendar. Invite people, check free/busy time, add meeting details, and click Send. The invitation includes a link to the meeting, and both desktop application users (on-premise mailbox users, se top) and Office365 users (only web-application) will be able to attend.
