Normally the registration of you takes place in combination with the registration made by DTU's management.

First you get your DTU-identity and your personals are stored in the DTUBase.
Your DTU-identity enables you to connect to the Portal, and an ID and password are issued to you.
(this is normally handled at the Reception, where you also have to order keys and accesscards to the buildings)

Your ID is then "forwarded"to ITSupport automatically, local accountsareprepared - one for the Windows IT Systems, and one for our Unix IT Systems.
The password for this account is normally passed on to you by the ITSupport department, where you also have to sign a

[1] - form.

Note that if you already have a Windows account you use the same user name and password on the Windows systems at DTU Compute as on all other Windows

systems at DTU but your account is not accessible here until you have signed the above mentioned form and ITSupport have activated your account for use at our institute.
