Chromebook backup

On a Chromebook your data are usually mainly in the cloud. You need to keep a copy of any work related documents on a Compute server as well.

This can be done by mounting your Google Drive, Dropbox or other cloud storage on a Linux, Window or MAC computer and making it a part of the ordinary backup. Make sure it is in an area that is included in the backup, see ....

Another possibility for Google cloud is using Google Takeout where you get a copy of your files as a .zip file. This should then be added to an area with ordinary backup.

If you do not have access to a computer that is regularly backed up on Computes servers, please contact itsupport@compute.dtu.dk to discuss a solution.
