Separate Google account for work phone or use private

You need a Google account for (almost all) Android phones. If you want to keep your private data separate from your work, you can make a new Google account for your work phone. This means that app backups, contacts e.t.c. are in separate accounts. Either way the accounts are yours, so DTU Compute cannot access them.

When you want to set up a new Android phone Google usually installs the app you had on your old phone. If you use one account, this may not be the apps you want.

Turn OFF Samsung pass

If the Samsung Pass window that covers your login in Android 8 annoys you, you can turn it off:

Go to Settings > General Management > Language and Input > Autofill Service > None

No longer will it prompt you to use Samsung Pass when logging into a new app!

Track or Erase your Android Phone

With Google's Android Device Manager you can see your phone's last known location on a map, find it by making it ring for 5 minutes or erase it if it gets stolen.
